Wien (English: Vienna) is the capital and largest city of Austria, featured in Euro Truck Simulator, German Truck Simulator (Austria Edition) and Euro Truck Simulator 2.
Wien has been reworked in the 1.44 update.[1]
Landmarks[]
The known landmarks of Wien are the Donauturm, the Florido Tower, the Giant Wheel, the International Centre, the Millennium Tower, the Neue Donau building, the Sender Kahlenberg and the St. Stephen's Cathedral.
Features[]
Before 1.44 update[]
EuroGoodies, SellPlan, and Stokes have depots in the city, while an EuroAcres farm is located to the west.
Wien features a hotel and a garage. In addition, a recruitment agency, and a large Iveco truck dealer are present in the city.
After 1.44 update[]
Wien was completely rebuilt in update 1.44. Wien proper only includes a viewpoint at Schönbrunn Palace, while the industries and other utilities were moved to areas outside the city.
The largest industrial area is located south of the city, next to the . It consists of the towns of Vösendorf and Wiener Neudorf. The EuroGoodies, SellPlan, and Stokes depots can be found here, alongside a garage, a large Iveco truck dealer, and a recruitment agency.
The oil refinery at Mannswörth is located next to the . A CNP and an NS Oil depot is located here.
The city also has a EuroAcres depot north of Wien in Stockerau. It can be accessed from the .
Connections[]
Four Autobahnen serve Wien:
- The runs towards Linz, Salzburg, as well as Germany to the west.
- The starts at the and links Wien to cities like Graz and Klagenfurt am Wörthersee and later Italy.
- The connects the city with Hungary to the east.
- The is a partial ring road of Wien, which serves as a bypass to the city.
A minor road starts at the intersection of and and runs towards Bratislava or Brno.
