The Western Star 5700XE is a truck in American Truck Simulator manufactured by the American truck manufacturer Western Star. It was added to the game on January 31, 2023 during the 1.46 update, but as of update 1.49, this truck is no longer available in the Western Star truck dealers, but instead, it's now only available in the Used Trucks market.
Release History[]
- 20 December 2022: In the SCS Christmas Stream, the team reveals the Western Star 5700XE with some screenshots of the truck.[1]
- 30 January 2023: SCS Software announced on their social medias that on 31 January 2023, will have a Stream for about the Western Star 5700XE together with special guest.[2]

Trivia[]
- Along with the International 9900i Eagle, and the Volvo VNL 2014, the 5700XE is one of the few out-of-production trucks that was added to the game.
- In the movie, a blue and red 2014 Western Star 5700 XE semi-trailer truck with flame decals appears to be the Optimus Prime in Transformers: Age of Extinction.
- The "Enflamed" livery is a direct inspiration from said movie as one can replicate the same color scheme the truck had.
- In real-life, it was replaced by the 57X in August 2, 2022 (the same day as it was released in ATS).
