Vernal features a Chemso refinery, a Coastline Mining depot, two Gallon Oil oil drilling sites, an HMS Machinery depot, and an Home Store market.

In addition, a truck stop is located in eastern Vernal. There is also a viewpoint at the oil drilling site southwest of the city.
