Vernal borders Fleming Gorge to the north and Dinosaur National Park to the east. The streets are lined with dinosaurs to tell the world that this city is home of those two parks. Access to Fleming Gorge goes as far as the Coastline Mining Depot (real life Simplot Mine) on 191 where it ends because Wyoming is not out yet. Dinosaur National Park is inaccessible right now because Colorado is not out.
In downtown Vernal drivers can pass the bank which was sent through the mail from Salt Lake brick by brick.
On the southwest side of town you will see the park and across from it on the east side of 500 west is the Vernal Temple which is made from left over bricks that were used to build the Vernal Tabernacle and the bank.
In addition, a truck stop with Gas station, Rest stop, Service shop and Weigh station is located in eastern Vernal.
