The Truck Simulator Wiki is leaving Fandom - We have moved to the wiki.gg family.
Greetings everyone,
Nearly a month ago, I have announced the 10th anniversary of the TruckSim Wiki to kick things off for 2023, and, also mentioned in that announcement, a major change to the wiki was going to occur. Now, after around a month of this change to come, this process is "nearly" completed and is now the time to make the announcement. It's time to say goodbye to Fandom - We have recently moved to the wiki.gg family.
Because we are moving to a different platform, the Fandom Truck Simulator Wiki will no longer be up-to-date and is ceased with any future content as of January 31, 2023. All of the up-to-date content is now in Wiki.gg.
You can migrate your Fandom account to Wiki.gg. All you have to do is go here and follow the directions…
Truck Simulator Wiki's 10th Anniversary
To all the Truck Simulator Wiki contributors and readers,
Before I go further into what this is all about, I just want to say a happy new year to everyone in this "special" blog. 2022 has been a busy year for the Truck Simulator Wiki, and I think we have done a job well done further expanding the wiki. Let’s also hope 2023 will be a great year for all of us!
First, SCS Software has reached many milestones over 2022, but I’ll mention the most important ones since there has been more than ten milestones reached on that year. Recently, Euro Truck Simulator 2 at this moment, is celebrating its 10th anniversary, and SCS Software just celebrated their 25th anniversary on November 21st, 2022.
Of course, time flies by, and most of the time, we always think …
Truck Sim Wiki Texas projects
Dear Truck Simulator Wiki contributors,
It is an honor to know that Texas (as you have known since yesterday) is releasing on November 15th, 2022, which as of me writing this user blog, we have 9 days until release. This gives the Truck Simulator Wiki an opportunity to expand and grow for more articles to be added and expanded, and that is the biggest news I have for now.
Now here comes the bad news, but first, let's explain what SCS has faced before Texas was even announced; SCS Software has faced Texas as a "scary" project for the team due to Texas' sheer size as the largest state in the 48-continuous US states, and how long it would take to develop Texas with a scale of 1:20 in ATS. And guess what, after Texas has been under development f…
An update about the "regardless of mentioned-only settlements" in the wiki
Hello Truck Simulator Wiki contributors!
A week ago, I have created a blog about the mentioned-only settlements to be removed from the Truck Simulator Wiki, and I thank you all for your feedback for my "updated" policy of mentioned-only settlements in the wiki.
On the first day of the plan, some wiki contributors started talking about the "relative", "informative", and the "worth-keeping" in-game settlements that I did not include (nor thought about) the exceptions of such locations. For example, a nearby junction (e.g. Grass Range, MT), or a settlement that only features a major facility at a junction (e.g. Cameron, AZ). At first, I only included such settlements that were "doubtful" of its future rendering that is only mentioned on road si…
Regardless of mentioned-only settlements in the Truck Simulator Wiki
Greetings Truck Simulator Wiki contributors,
I would like to inform you all about settlements being added to the Truck Simulator Wiki, specifically the mentioned-only settlements, the ones that are only seen on road signs, acting as , but these settlements are not rendered in-game. Let's get further into what is going to happen, and what was going to happen.
- 1 The "original" future of mentioned-only settlements in the wiki
- 2 My thoughts and explanation of mentioned-only settlements in the wiki
- 3 The new "updated" policy involving with mentioned-only settlements in ETS2 and ATS
- 3.1 Updates
- 4 Any feedback?
Previously, I was originally planning on separating the mentioned-only settlements (Scenery cities & towns and villages) and put them in their own li…
