• Trip 1: Steamboat Springs Voltison Motors → Sidney Voltison Motors

  • Comments: To avoid always starting from California I relocated to northern Colorado earlier in the year (such that even if Texas came out first I did not have to trek for too long). A seven-month departure proved that I had to re-familiarize myself though, and I only found out that I turned off traffic after driving for a few miles. After arriving at Sidney I made a brief city tour to clear roadways, uncovering my first hidden road. (Okay, guys, we should consider breaking off hidden road into one or more separate pages!)

  • Distance: 511 mi
  • Comments: Night run on my part and I already feel lazy, which means I picked an almost-all-Interstate trip. And don't even try to convince me to stop at all those truck stops!
• Trip 3: Helena Wallbert (warehouse) → Bozeman Wallbert (market)

  • Distance: 139 mi
  • Comments: Got a new Western Star (57X) at Helena first, but frankly with its gearbox having fewer gears (12!?) it does not climb well!
• Trip 4: Bozeman Walden's → Kalispell Bitumen
  • Date: 4 September
  • Cargo: Sand
  • Distance: 318 mi
  • Comments: A fairly straight one. Pick a trip which only adds 1 city, in anticipation of making the remaining trips "double". The destination city seems rather big, and the viewpoint northeast of it seems pointing towards Canada no less...
