Route Description[]
US 84 starts at US 64, running concurrent with US 285 until Santa Fe. In that stretch of road, it is a one-lane highway with speed limits of 45 and 55 mph. There is a rest stop in this stretch of road.
Approaching Santa Fe, US 84 becomes a two-lane expressway with a speed limit of 70 mph. There is an exit to NM 599 towards the Santa Fe quarry area and Interstate 25 South towards Albuquerque before the road becomes a four-lane avenue surface street and enters into the city center. There is an intersection with Paseo de Peralta (towards a Wallbert and a recruitment agency), Cerillos Rd (Wallbert, a garage, Charged), and what is the NM 466 in real life (service, HMS Machinery). It then merges onto Interstate 25 North via exit 282.
About 50 miles later, US 84 leaves Interstate 25 on exit 339 bound towards Santa Rosa. It then travels 43 miles south as a one-lane highway until it reaches Interstate 40, with which a concurrency eastwards occurs for eight miles.
In Santa Rosa, the US 84, splits to two different roads. At I-40's exit 273, one can either choose to keep driving on the I-40 until exit 277 or take the exit and follow I-40 Bus. until it crosses the freeway once again for exit 277. It then heads south and passes by two rest stops. The road continues for awhile before reaching the US 60. In real life, this is where a concurrency starts with the US 60 east to Clovis.
