U.S. Route 30 (US 30) is an east–west US Highway in northern Oregon and southern Idaho and Wyoming in American Truck Simulator. It runs from Astoria, OR, to Cheyenne, WY, along a route mostly concurrent with Interstate Highways. In real life, the 30 runs 3073 miles (4946 km) from Astoria, OR, to Atlantic City, NJ (its eastern terminus, incidentally, not far from that of US 40), and is the third longest US Highway after US 20 and US 6.

Course[]

US 30 starts at US 101 in Astoria and follows the Columbia River to Portland, where it merges with Interstate 84. From there, the 30 runs concurrent with I-84 far into Idaho, occasionally diverging from the interstate as a business route through towns such as Pendleton and Baker City. In real life, the highway breaks from I-84 at Bliss, ID, and runs to the south of the interstate as far as Burley; although neither of these towns are in the game, US 30's route through Twin Falls, located on this segment, is. US 30 turns away from I-84 east of Twin Falls and follows Interstate 86 to Pocatello, which it passes through on surface roads, and follows Interstate 15 to McCammon.

At McCammon, US 30 begins running along its own route, which takes it past Lava Hot Springs and into the Bear Lake Valley of the Great Basin, where it meets with US 89 at Montpellier. From there a gap in the road begins, the highway resuming at WYO 89, where it continues east out of the Great Basin to Little America, where it begins running concurrent with Interstate 80. US 30 is concurrent with I-80 as far as Rawlins; in real life, the 30 breaks away from I-80 east of the city, a split not represented in the game, creating a gap. US 30 continues from its intersection with WYO 487 at Medicine Bow, where it heads to Laramie via Rock River. There the 30 returns to running concurrent with I-80, both highways crossing the Laramie Mountains via Sherman Summit, which, at 8640 ft (2630 m), is the highest point of both highways. The 30 remains along the course of I-80 as far as Cheyenne, where both highways currently terminate, eventually to be extended into Nebraska.
