Stavanger is a city in southwest Norway, featured in the Scandinavia map expansion for Euro Truck Simulator 2, along with Bergen, Kristiansand and Oslo.
Features[]
In the game Stavanger is rendered in three sectors:
- The central part is to the east of E39, and houses most facilities (a garage, a hotel, a recruitment agency and a service shop) and depots (IKA Bohag, Nordic Crown and Polar Fish).
- The harbour and the Polaris Lines ferry terminal / depot is to the west of E39. NS Oil and Renar Logistik also have depots there.
- An MS Stein mine is in the heights to the northeast of the city.
Truckers wishing to refuel have to use the two gas stations, to the south and east of the city respectively.
The city's airport is rendered in the game as well. It's to the south of the harbour.
Connections[]
The is the main road going through Stavanger. To the south it heads for Kristiansand before going across the sea to Hirtshals, Denmark. The road's continuation to the north of Stavanger is rendered but inaccessible to truckers.
A minor road (resembling Norwegian National Road 13) goes north-east from Stavanger, and is signposted to Bergen (via ) or Oslo (via ).
From the ferry terminal west of Stavanger, truckers may board a Polaris Lines ferry to Hirtshals, Denmark.
In real-life, both the E39 and the ferry have northern continuation towards Bergen, while the road 13 isn't an all-land route either.
