Spokane is one of the largest cities in Washington. It is located in the eastern half of Washington and is the economic hub of Eastern Washington, northern Idaho, western Montana, and parts of Canada.
The city is featured in 18 Wheels of Steel: American Long Haul and it is highly likely that it will be part of the Washington map expansion DLC for American Truck Simulator in future.
Geography
Spokane is located in eastern Washington along the Spokane River. Spokane Falls is located in downtown Spokane and is the largest waterfall in an urban city in the world. The city is surrounded by forested hills and mountains. To the south and west the geography becomes high plain scrublands.
Climate
Spokane has warm summers and cold winters. Winter snow is common as temperatures tend to be in the 20s and 30s. Summer heat varies from the 70s to 80s. Rainfall happens mostly in from fall to spring with less showers in the summer.
Landmarks
Notable landmarks in Spokane are several historic churches including the historic Cathedral of Saint John the Evangelist. The historic steam plant in downtown has two large chimneys which are integral to the city skyline. Fox Tower is a historic landmark next to the classic Monroe Street Bridge. Riverfront Park is home to several historic landmarks such as Expo 74' Pavilion from the 1974 World's Fair, and the Great Northern Clock Tower. The Spokane County Superior Courthouse is another historic landmark for it's ornate tower.
