Special Transport

The Special Transport is a cargo pack DLC for both Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator. The DLC adds oversized cargoes and escort vehicles to the game. The DLC has been released on December 13, 2017 for ETS2 and on November 7, 2018 for ATS. Both DLC cost €4,99 / £3.99 / $4.99.

Ets2 Volkswagen Transporter Special — An escort vehicle

Because of the huge and heavy cargoes, the trailers have steerable axles similarly to the Heavy Cargo Pack. To help with the maneuvering of the oversized cargo, the Special Transport DLC includes escort vehicles (pilot vehicles) which assist the player along the route by stopping traffic at intersections and guiding the AI to leave the player additional space. Clear all tire, refill fuel and animation of hooking the trailer when you hook the oversized cargo
New in game email when you first launched after you install this DLC
Have a speed limit of 60 km/h (About 37 mph)
Specified route and lane for the journey, driver will be notified when he is required to change to another lane

In ATS, the route from Socorro (NM) to Tucson (AZ) was the longest route until the release of the Kansas DLC in update 1.49, when the route from Pueblo (CO) to Marysville (KS) took over the title.
