Socorro is a city featured in the New Mexico map expansion for American Truck Simulator. It's located in the center of the state just south of Albuquerque.
Landmarks[]
The landmarks which can be found in Socorro are the First Baptist Church (in-game: Last Baptist Church), the K. of P. Hall (in-game: K. of P. Ball), the Loma Stadium Cinema (in-game: Lowa Stadium Cinema), the San Miguel Church, the Socorro Canyon and a recycling center with an UFO sign. The Very Large Array is located west of town on US 60 a level crossing across the highway identifies this location.
Features[]
Four companies have depots in the city: There are a Gallon Oil gas station, a Plaster & Sons depot, a Rail Export depot, a Tidbit supermarket and a Wallbert super store. A NAMIQ quarry is just outside the western city end.
Socorro also features one further gas station, a motel and a service shop.
Connections[]
- The is Socorro's main connection and runs to Las Cruces to the south and Albuquerque to the north.
- The runs from I-25 to Quemado and Show Low, Arizona to the west.
- The runs from I-25 south of Socorro to Carrizozo and Roswell to the east.
History[]
In update 1.39, a Coastline Mining quarry was replaced by a NAMIQ quarry before the release of the Colorado DLC.
