Scania Truck Driving Simulator is a game developed by SCS Software, released on the 12th June 2012, on Mac and PC.
The game features a handful of game modes.
Gameplay
Driver License
Featuring 10 driving trials based on common truck operating situations, such as parking and maneuvering a trailer, this mode allows one to enhance their driving skills.
Competition
The player can virtually participate in Scania's Young European Truck Driver event, through the 10 challenges of the competition, plus 4 bonus scenarios.
Dangerous Drives
The game features 25 scenarios designed to challenge one's abilities to drive a truck, ranging from driving in floods, on a narrow mountain road, or in a busy street.
Time Reaction Test
Time Reaction Test allows to drive a Scania Truck in a road. Brake the truck to avoid an animation bicycle and deer. If you drive into it, it will result in a fail.
Freeform Driving
Freeform Driving allows the player to drive a Scania Truck in 2 different environments, either the Scania DemoCentre or in a Fictional European city.
Scania DemoCentre
The game features the Scania proving grounds of Södertälje, and allows one drive freely on the test tracks of the DemoCentre.
Fictional European City
In this city, the player is able to manage goods by choosing deliveries across the map, driving up to the trailer, loading it to the trailer and completing the mission rewards the player with points. The truck cannot run out of fuel or take damages.
Trucks
The game only features the Scania R 2009 but the player can nevertheless choose its color in the menus.
