The Scania R Electric (in-game name: Scania R BEV) is a battery-electrified truck manufactured by the Swedish truck manufacturer Scania.
It was firstly teased on the 2023 Christmas Special Stream, when the vehicle team revealed the brief images of the truck. While the S-series type of the truck was featured in Euro Truck Simulator 2 on the 2nd July, 2024, along with the 1.50 update (as part of the Quick-Jobs), it is unknown when will the R-series one be featured to the game.

- 18 December 2023: In the SCS Christmas Stream, the vehicle team reveals a 3D CAD modelling for the Scania Electric Truck (in the R-series guise), which could be ETS2's next Battery-Electrified Long-Haul Truck in the future, after the Renault E-Tech T.[1]
- 20 June 2024: SCS Software teases a Scania Electric Truck (in the S-series guise) on their social media accounts.[2]
- 2 July 2024: The Scania S Electric is released along with a trailer video.[3]
- 17 July 2024: SCS Software released an 'SCS On The Road' episode, where they take a walkaround and test-drive the Scania 45 R Electric.
