- For other in-game facilities named Scania, see Scania (disambiguation).
Scania AB (formerly AB Scania-Vabis), is a major Swedish automotive manufacturer of commercial vehicles, specifically heavy trucks and buses. It also manufactures diesel engines for heavy vehicles. Scania's logo shows a griffin, from the coat of arms of the province of Scania (Swedish: Skåne). The headquarters of Scania is in Södertälje, Sweden.
Scania AB is fully owned by the German automotive company Volkswagen Group, along with MAN SE. They are now a part of TRATON.
Scania is present in numerous SCS Software games:
Scania was formerly known as Swift in Euro Truck Simulator, because SCS Software didn't have the license for official usage at the time.
Truck Simulator Series[]
Euro Truck Simulator[]
In Euro Truck Simulator, the only Scania truck available was known as the Swift, and was based on the Scania 5-Series.
Trucks & Trailers[]
Trucks & Trailers marks the first official appearance of Scania in SCS Games.
The game features a fully licensed Scania 6-Series, which is however not customisable.
Scania Truck Driving Simulator[]
Eventually, the partnership leads to the release of Scania Truck Driving Simulator, being centered on said brand.
Like T&T, the game features a fully licensed Scania 6-Series, which can only be color-customised.
Euro Truck Simulator 2[]
Scania returns in Euro Truck Simulator 2. This time, the manufacturer offers six models: the Streamline, the R 2009, the R, the S, the R Electric and the S Electric all of which can be fully customised. the latter two were added to the game in the update 1.30, while the electrified version of the S was added to the game (as the part of the Quick-jobs) in the update 1.50.

Scandinavia expansion introduces the city of Södertälje, which is the headquarters of Scania. As such, Scania's plant is partially modeled, and one can take and deliver cargo there, including delivering Scania trucks to the brand's dealers. The Demo Centre was added to the game in the update 1.50.
Mighty Griffin Tuning Pack[]
On the 28th June, 2016, the Mighty Griffin Tuning Pack DLC has been released for Euro Truck Simulator 2, adding more custom parts for the R 2009 and the Streamline. On the 14th May, 2018, more custom parts for the R and the S was added in the update 1.31.
Available Preconfigured Models[]
As of update 1.49, the R 2009 and Streamline can only be bought as a used truck in the used truck dealership, and with the release in update 1.50, the Electrified R and S can only be used in the Quick Jobs (due to the lack of the charging infrastructure in the game). The table here shows the 8 different preconfigured customizable models available at Scania truck dealers in ETS2.
