Oakland is a port city in California's Bay Area, included in American Truck Simulator. It is located just east of San Francisco and south of the unlabeled city of Berkeley.
Oakland was also featured in the first SCS Software game: Hard Truck: 18 Wheels of Steel, as part of San Francisco. The city was fully rebuilt from the ground up in update 1.50.

The known landmarks in Oakland are the Port of Oakland (in-game: Oakland Shippers), the Oakland Bay Bridge and the California Hotel (in-game: Hotel California).

Hard Truck: 18 Wheels of Steel[]
The city only features a depot of Roznicek Industries, which is part of San Francisco. Neither a rest stop, a gas station nor a service shop are included.
American Truck Simulator[]
The only company with a depot in Oakland is the Oakland Shippers container port, based off of the Port of Oakland. It is the sole depot of this company in the entire game. It contains a Rest stop within the gates.
In addition, there are also a Chemso oil depot and an HMS Machinery depot in Richmond north of Oakland.
In Oakland, there are also two Gas stations. One of them is a Gallon Oil station accepting the corresponding cargo, located outside of Oakland Shippers. To the east of Interstate 580 there are additionally a service shop with overnight parking and an unpaved rest area across the road. There is a toll gate on westbound Interstate 80.

- The runs to San Francisco to the west and Vallejo and Sacramento to the northeast.
- The runs towards Richmond, Ukiah, and Eureka (the latter cities via the ) to the northwest and Huron and Los Angeles (via I-5) to the southeast.
- A minor road runs from I-580 to the , then becoming , which leads to the and Oakdale to the east.
