Newhalem is a scenery town in Washington, located deep within the northern Cascade Range on WA 20 between the turn-off for the Deepgrove logging site and the Diablo Dam. It is a small village dwarfed by the surrounding snowcapped mountains, a notable landmark at the east end of town being the Gorge Powerhouse.
