  • Do you just get your rocks off by telling people "{insert city/region name here} inclusion in the {insert regional DLC here} is high likely, but not confirmed. Until then, this page should be removed"? Seriously, you're not achieving anything by doing this, especially if a page is going to be created regardless. You need to stop it and get some help, man, because it is not healthy.

  • Sounds like a major change so I wish to see your rationale.  Thanks in advance!

    • The article Paris (city) considers the area bordered by Paris city signs (Bâtisse depot). However, two other settlements, Poissy (garage) and Gonesse (service shop) also call "Paris"  the delivery destination in the software (name from city border signs), thus these 3 cities (Paris, Poissy, Gonesse) are part of Paris Metropolitan Area.

For example, if you deliver something to the Tradeaux depot in Paris, you actually deliver it to Gonesse, Paris; if you deliver something to the Bâtisse depot in Paris, you deliver it to Paris, Paris; if you deliver something to the Lisette Logistics depot in Paris, you deliver it to Poissy, Paris.

      I hope it's understandable.

    • Sounds very much like Oslo (which covers locations beyond surrouding settlements like Drammen) in the Scandinavia expansion.

I suggest you add Poissy and Gonesse (following examples of Drammen and Považská Bystrica) directly to this Wiki, if their names do appear on signs, or there are in-game landmarks making them recognizable (from your words, I assume the former is true).

For the Paris area as a whole, it's probably enough to mention something like "since v1.26, SCS also renders the metropolitan area around Paris as part of it, including Poissy and Gonesse" in the trivia section of the original Paris article.  In this way we can avoid putting repetitive or confusing information in two similarly named articles.

On a side note, the Paris-Poissy-Gonesse arrangement is probably not new, and seems to have appeared right from the base game (Grimsby-Hull / Felixstowe-Harwich / Amsterdam-IJmuiden, etc.).  If SCS doesn't explicity create a new layer between cities and countries, maybe it's better for us to follow it.

Or even better, let's put this issue forward to the forum and see how others think.

  • 1. Good to see someone to add mileage data.  It's not an easy job to measure it in game (I ended-up drawing quite a few diagrams and recorded all distances).  I will update the distances from my recorded data.

    2. For the road icon on the Hungarian M3 and other Hungarian motorways... a few months ago I already uploaded their road icons extracted from the game and put it under the page Hungary already.  In fact, most countries' (except Scandinavia) road icons are already shown on their respective country page; alternatively you can find all those signs under Category:Road icons.

If you find something missing (most probably Euroroute icons), please voice out so that I can get the icon from the game and upload it.

    3. As you can see on Hungary page, SCS probably had planned the lesser road icons, but ended up not using them.  That means I have difficulties describing their in-game information.  Do you think it is possible to "define" which part of the in-game roads are part of those three lesser Hungarian road?

    4. For the new template about cities... well, I am afraid that none of the cities' pages can be nearly as long as the template.  That means the template actually occupied quite a lot of space. "Fortunately" mobile version simply had the template hidden.

Maybe we can do such templates per country / state and avoid them eating up half the page?

Off to work some Norway stuff, seeya!

    • Extracting base.scs and find the "dds" files with the name having the word "road".  Open the file you want with photoshop (or any other software that can open .dds files), clip it and save as PNG.

  • Sorry that I reverted your change on A5 (Germany).  IMHO most roads featured in the Truck Simulator series are already highways, and there's already the category Roads to store all of them.  If you believe we should make a "Highway" category to contain them, feel free to discuss in forum or my wall.  Cheers :)
