The Mack Pinnacle is a truck in American Truck Simulator manufactured by the American truck manufacturer Mack Trucks. It was added to the game on the 13^th September, 2024, along with the 1.51 update.

Release History

• 18 December 2023: In the SCS Christmas Stream, the vehicle team reveals the 3 images of the Mack Pinnacle. The first one is the 3D modelling process, the second one is the Pinnacle on the road, and the third one is the Pinnacle in all its own paintjob.
• 17 January 2024: SCS made a blog post about Truck stops in the Nebraska map expansion DLC. However, a Mack Pinnacle Day Cab is spotted in one of those pictures, confirming that it will soon be coming to ATS.
• 17 August 2024: A gameplay preview for Arkansas is released on SCS' official YouTube channel, shown inside a Mack Pinnacle 70" Sleeper cabin.
• 24 August 2024: A Mack Pinnacle 48" Sleeper cabin is featured as the truck header for the upcoming Arkansas DLC on its microsite. 4 days later, on the 28th August 2024, it is featured as the truck header on Arkansas' Steam Store Page.
• 4 September 2024: In the Arkansas trailer video, lots of Mack Pinnacles can be seen throughout the video.
• 12 September 2024: SCS made an announcement on their social medias that on the 13th September, 2024, they will have a special livestream about the Mack Pinnacle on their Twitch TV and YouTube channels.
• 13 September 2024:
  • 18:00 CEST: SCS makes a special livestream about the Mack Pinnacle on their Twitch TV and YouTube channels.
  • 19:00 CEST: The Mack Pinnacle is released along with a trailer video.

Trivia

• In real-life, the Pinnacle was previously sold as the "Vision Elite" in Perú and Venezuela and was available as CHU (Set-Forward Front Axle) and CXU (Set-Backward Front Axle) variants. But in 2017, the CHU variant continues its production under the simple name, "Pinnacle", while its CXU variant was replaced by the Anthem.
• In 2019, the Pinnacle had a subtle change on the front grille and the Full-LED exterior lighting system, including the long-lasting LED headlights, which are 66% brighter, yet more energy efficient.
• The Pinnacle is exclusively available with the Volvo D13-based MP8 engine, while its set-back axle counterpart is also available with the Volvo D11-based MP7 engine.
