"Lithuania is with 65 300 km2 the largest and most southerly of the three Baltic republics. It has 12 912 km of paved roads. Lithuanians are fond of nature and have a strong feeling of a shared culture that begins as early as primary school, where folk music, national traditions, and holidays play an important role. Vilnius (capital) University is an important scientific and education centre on the European scale." |
