- The runs east from US 160 in Teec Nos Pos east of Kayenta to Shiprock and Farmington, New Mexico.
- The runs west towards Page (via the ), Grand Canyon Village (via the and ), and Flagstaff (via the ) and east to Mexican Water and Durango, Colorado.
- The runs northeast through Monument Valley to US 191 in Bluff, Utah.
- The , intersecting US 160 in Mexican Water and US 163 in Bluff, connects Kayenta with Sanders, Holbrook (the latter city via the ), and Clifton to the south and Moab, Utah to the north.
