Iowa is a state of the United States, which is featured in the 18 Wheels of Steel series & will be featured in American Truck Simulator as a map expansion DLC.
The state is bordered by Minnesota to the north, Wisconsin & Illinois to the east, Missouri to the south, Nebraska & South Dakota to the west.
Release History[]
- 6 June 2024: SCS Software posted a teaser about a new state on their Social media accounts under the name, "Guess Where We're Heading Next".[1]
- 18 June 2024: A blog post to officially confirm that Iowa will be the next state after Missouri with a few new screenshots[2], alongside the release of its Steam Store Page.[3]
- 9 August 2024: Update 1.51 Open Beta is released and it includes more new roads towards and within Iowa.[4]
- 1 October 2024: A blog post about the Iowa research trip.[5]
- 3 January 2025: A blog post about the team behind Iowa.[6]
- 29 January 2025: A blog post about Fields and Prairies in Iowa.[7]
