Interstate 82 (I-82) is an east–west Interstate Highway in southern Washington and northeastern Oregon in American Truck Simulator. It runs from Interstate 90 and US 97 in Ellensburg, crossing the Columbia River into Oregon, to Interstate 84, US 30, and US 395 west of Pendleton. All rural areas of the highway are 70 mph for cars with the 60 mph for cars being in Yakima.
Course[]
Interstate 82 begins at its junction with Interstate 90 near Ellensburg, WA. Soon after beginning, it crosses Manastash Ridge by way of Vanderbilt Gap (2672 ft) and crosses the gorge of Selah Creek via the Fred G. Redmon Memorial Bridge, a rather high bridge with a height of 325 feet (99 m). After rounding the western end of Yakima Ridge, the highway crosses the Yakima River and enters the Moxie Valley, where it passes by the city of Yakima. Here US 12 begins running concurrent with I-82, while US 97, which has been following the highway, breaks off in the town of Union Gap. The 82 passes through Union Gap, where the Yakima divides Ahtanum Ridge to the west from the Rattlesnake Hills to the east; it is here that the highway enters the fertile Yakima Valley, where an eastbound weigh station is featured. Out of the valley, US 12 breaks from the highway, running concurrent with Interstate 182. I-82 passes to the west of Kennewick, where US 395 joins the highway. After a westbound weigh station the highway crosses the Columbia River and enters Oregon, where it ends at its junction with Interstate 84.
