Interstate 35W (I-35W) is a north–south Interstate Highway that serves as the western half of Interstate 35, where it splits to serve the DallasFort Worth metropolitan area in northeastern Texas in American Truck Simulator. I-35 splits into two branch routes, I-35W and I-35E, at Hillsboro. It runs through Fort Worth before rejoining with I-35E to reform I-35 in Denton.

I-35W is relatively shorter and faster than its other branch, I-35E, which is 9 miles longer (or 13 km longer). The lowest speed limit on I-35W is 60 mph (97 km/h) in Fort Worth, while I-35E has a speed limit of 55 mph (89 km/h) in Dallas, making I-35W a more direct route for long-distance travelers going through the metropolitan area.

Course[]

Interstate 35W, along with Interstate 35E, splits Interstate 35 into two different branches at Hillsboro. It traces to the northwest and approaches Alvarado in the urban agglomeration of the DallasFort Worth metroplex; soon afterwards, it enters the city limits of Fort Worth, where it intersects Interstate 20 in the southern portion of the city and Interstate 30 at downtown. Continuing north, I-35W approaches US 287 north of Fort Worth, and then it traces to the northeast. Not far from the 287, I-35W has an interchange serving the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport, and then it enters Denton, where it reaches its northern terminus at the northern split of I-35, reforming its parent with I-35E.
