The International LoneStar is a truck in American Truck Simulator manufactured by the American truck manufacturer International Trucks.
It was first announced by Pavel, the CEO of SCS Software on February 4, 2019 in a livestream. It was also teased a bunch of times before. It was added to the game on December 12, 2019, along with the 1.36 update.
The interior of the truck has been reworked in the 1.50 update, including new models and updated textures.
Release History[]
- 25 January 2016: In a blog post about licensing issues, SCS Software showed a picture of the International LoneStar model. [2]
- 3 July 2018: SCS Software's Twitter: SCS CEO Pavel Šebor was visiting the parent company of International. [3]
- 12 August 2018: Polish YouTuber Wujek Bohun interviewed SCS Programmer Eryk Dwornicki, who revealed that the next truck for American Truck Simulator would be International. [4]
- 13 September 2018: SCS Community Manager Carthoo showed off a CAD drawing of the LoneStar on SCS forum. [5]
- 3 November 2018: After a quick escalation between Volvo Trucks North America and SCS Software, the Volvo VNL (2012) was announced to arrive before the LoneStar, within a month.
- 5 November 2018: The Volvo VNL (2012) was officially released along with the 1.32 update.
- 20 December 2018: During a livestream, SCS confirmed that two trucks (assumed to be the International LoneStar and the Freightliner Cascadia) would arrive in 2019.
- 4 February 2019: SCS Software officially reveals the LoneStar, with another CAD of the International LoneStar truck in a livestream to celebrate the 3rd anniversary of American Truck Simulator, claiming that it would arrive soon and also a video of the progress, including interior and cab CAD progress. - 25 November 2019: SCS Software teased the International LoneStar in a short video. [7]
- 27 November 2019: SCS Software teased the International LoneStar in Instagram Stories. [8]
- 4 December 2019: SCS Software shared a short video on their twitter account showing the interior of the International LoneStar. [9]
- 6 December 2019: International LoneStar appears in the Steam database. [10]

Since the release of the truck, new contents have been added into it for free in the game updates.
- 14 May 2024: Update 1.50 gets the LoneStar the interior rework with new models and updated textures, as well as new interior options and set of cabinets as the new accessories. A blog post in the exact date announced this addition.

- The LoneStar in ATS was based on the 2019 model in real-life. It is unknown when will the 2015 model be added to the game.
- It is an indirect replacement of the 9900i.
