Hornbrook was a small border town between California and Oregon that was featured in American Truck Simulator. The town was replaced by Hilt in update 1.41 as part of the first phase of the California rework. It was the first city to be removed from the game's economy since its initial release.

This city consisted of two rest stops, a Gallon Oil gas station and a Bitumen roadworks which occassionally offered cargoes.
Beyond the roadwork site, there was a crashed truck blocking the way, causing truckers unable to go further. This could be considered as an Easter Egg.

The boundary between California and Oregon was to the immediate north, meaning that any truckers wishing to go north from Hornbrook had to possess Oregon DLC. The next cities to the south are Weed and Redding, while the next city to the north was Medford.
