There has only been two landmarks in Hobbs that have been found: the Lea County Regional Airport and Don Garey Tower office building.
There are four depots in Hobbs, a Charged depot on the US 82 (north part of city), a Plaster & Sons depot on Grimes St. (west side of city), and two Wallbert depots - one on Sanger St. (city center), and one on Del Paso St (east side of city).
Hobbs is connected to other cities by three roads.
- The and run west towards Carlsbad and east to Texas.
- The runs west towards Artesia.
- Between Artesia and Hobbs, the acts as a shortcut connecting US 62 with US 82 and US 180.
