Freightliner Trucks is an American truck manufacturer featured in American Truck Simulator. Founded in 1929 as the truck-manufacturing division of Consolidated Freightways (from which it derives its name), the company was established in 1942 as Freightliner Corporation. Owned by Daimler AG since 1981, Freightliner is a part of Daimler subsidiary Daimler Trucks North America (along with Western Star, Detroit Diesel, and Thomas Built Buses).
Freightliner Trucks was the next and last truck brand featured after Western Star Trucks. The Freightliner Cascadia was added to the game on December 2, 2020, along with the 1.39 update.
It was firstly featured in the 18 Wheels of Steel series under the fictional names Frisk and Forerunner.
The headquarters of Freightliner Trucks are located in Portland, Oregon.
