"To quote Freightliner's sales literature, 'The Cascadia® is the most advanced on-highway truck Freightliner has ever offered. With more than one million hours of R&D and millions of miles of real-world testing, the Cascadia® is the result of sustained, concentrated investment in the future of trucking.'" |
The Freightliner Cascadia is a truck in American Truck Simulator manufactured by the American truck manufacturer Freightliner Trucks.
It was first announced by a blog post in January 2016 [2] and it was teased two years later by SCS Community Manager Carthoo.[3] The Cascadia model that was shown in January 2016 was the old Cascadia generation (2016) and the teaser that Carthoo had shown in September 2018 was a CAD drawing of the new Cascadia generation (2018). The Cascadia was finally released on December 2, 2020, along with the 1.39 update.
On December 7, 2021, SCS announced on their blog post that the Freightliner Cascadia has an upgrade which brings more new parts and customization options to the truck called Freightliner Cascadia 2022. It was added to the game alongside the 1.43 update and it was an update to the Freightliner Cascadia.[4]
On May 10, 2023, SCS announced on their blog post that the Freightliner Cascadia has an upgrade which brings 3 new interiors to the truck, that was added to the game alongside the 1.44 update and it was another update to the Freightliner Cascadia.[5]
