Ford is an American vehicle manufacturer which will be featured in American Truck Simulator. Founded and established in 1903, it starts the truck manufacturing in 1917.

Ford will be the eighth brand to be featured, after Freightliner, as the CLT-9000 is announced to make a comeback in the future updates of ATS. But first, it will hit the game as a car pack in the (upcoming) Road Trip.

It was firstly featured in the 18 Wheels of Steel series under the fictional name Frisk.

The headquarters of Ford Motor Company is located in Dearborn, Michigan.

Release History[]

Road Trip[]

  • 11 April 2025: A blog post to announce the Road Trip project, alongside a Dev Talk video, which had been uploaded on SCS' YouTube channel.[1]
  • 26 April 2025: A blog post calling the communities to gather some unmodified cars from well-known car manufacturers (one of them is Ford) to have its sounds recorded.[2]
  • 24 July 2025: A blog post to announce the module's first-ever car pack DLC, including some iconic models from Ford, officially licensed by Ford Motor Company.[3]
  • 24 September 2025: A blog post about an SCS On The Road, where the team took a trip to the World Headquarters of the Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan.[4]
  • 29 November 2025: A blog post about the 1992-2012 Ford Crown Victoria.[5]

Main career[]

Ford CLT 9000[]

  • 18 December 2025: In the 2025 Christmas Special Livestream, SCS' vehicle team reveals some pictures of the Ford CLT 9000. This one confirms that the Ford CLT 9000 will be coming in future updates.[6]

Models[]

In 18 WoS series of Convoy and Haulin', there is only one model featured, while in AA, ALH and PttM, there are two models featured. While in ATS, it will be splitted into two categories: Cars and Trucks. Ford cars in ATS will have four models featured in the upcoming Road Trip, while Ford trucks in ATS will only have one model featured.
