Budapest is the capital and largest city of Hungary. It is featured in the Going East! map expansion for Euro Truck Simulator 2.

Landmarks

The city center has 5 landmarks:

• Buda Castle, a palace on the Castle Hill with an oxidized copper dome;
• Hotel Hilton, an upscale hotel on the Castle Hill with a claret roof;
• Hungarian Parliament Building, a majestic white palace with a dome;
• Matthias Church, a white church on the Castle Hill;
• Saint Stephen's Basilica, a brown cathedral with an oxidized copper dome.

There are three other landmarks in the city:

• Hungarian Police Headquarters, a modern office building with blue stained glass and an antenna;
• NYFI Tower, a gray office tower next to the Hungarian Police Headquarters;
• Száva Street Transmission Tower, a reinforced concrete tower with a "black head".

The district of Óbuda (visible from M0) contains two more recognizable-building:

• North-Buda Power Plant, an industrial chimney with a pattern of red-white squares;
• ORFK-Tower, a television tower located far in the mountains.

The Lakihegy Tower, a red-white painted guyed mast located at the southern part of M0.

Features

Truckers can access the eastern area of the city, a.k.a. the Pest side. A north-south road goes through the accessible part of the city, forming a through route from Szeged (via the M5) to Banská Bystrica, although it is still recommended to take the east side of M0 since the motorway passes no signal-controlled junctions.
