Euro Truck Simulator 2 - Nordic Horizons is a map expansion DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2. It is the tenth map of DLC involving map expansions. It has been released on the 27th November, 2025.
As it suggests, the DLC features the continuation of Norway, Sweden and Finland, initially introduced in the Scandinavia and Beyond the Baltic Sea map expansion DLCs respectively.

Drive through Sweden’s Norrland, offering a diverse environment, from settled regions along the main E4 road to the barren hills of the Scandinavian mountains. Finland’s Lapland, with its dense coniferous forests the expansive barren tundra, presents a stark contrast to the southern part of the country. The DLC showcases typical Nordic architecture and delves into Viking history. Additionally, Nordic Horizons promises a seamless blend of nature, history, and trucking excitement.

- Early 2022: The game file europe_bgn.dds is updated. The map highlights 27 cities in Norway and Sweden north of the Scandinavia DLC.
- 20 December 2022: In the 2022 SCS Christmas Stream, the team reveals some real-life photographs of moose, roe deer, a Border Crossing on the E10 road at the border with Sweden, and a group of team members from SCS Software at Nordkapp and an entrance sign of Norway in Bokmål and Northern Sámi languages, respectively written as Norge and Norga.[1]
- 19 October 2023: In the West Balkans DLC release stream, SCS Software CEO Pavel Šebor confirms that a Northern map expansion is in development.
- 31 October 2023: Models with the tag poc are found in the game files, presumed to belong to this expansion.[2]
- 3 November 2023: A changelog about the 1.49.0.11 update (open beta) accidentally includes changes regarding the road between Storuman and Arvidsjaur. It is removed in an edit shortly after the post is made.[3]
- 19 December 2023: The 2023 Christmas live stream confirms the inclusion of Finland, and six additional cities.
- 26 January 2024: A blog post to officially reveal the name of the expansion with more new screenshots[4], alongside the release of its Steam Store page.[5]

Early Adopters' Reward[]
For early adopters of the DLC, having a profile connected to a World of Trucks account and making any delivery using the External Contracts or External Market TO or FROM Narvik will make the players eligible for a Wolf Plush cabin toy, as a Steam inventory item.
