Euro Truck Simulator 2: Beyond the Baltic Sea is a map DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2. It is the fifth DLC including map expansions. It was released on November 29, 2018.

The expansion features all Baltic states (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania), southern part of Finland and small parts of Russia. It is the largest map expansion in the game beating Vive la France!.

Release History Edit

SCS Software first hinted about the DLC in a blog post posted on 6 February 2018. After that, SCS released information about the DLC in their blog, at about one blog post per month:

  • 26 January 2018: In a video created by SCS for the Meeting Room of the Year competition, multiple hints for a Baltic DLC can be seen in the background.[1][2]
  • 6 February 2018: Blog post which teases the next expansion with screenshots.[2]
  • 2 March 2018: First official blog post about the expansion.[3]
  • 6 April 2018: Blog post about border crossing prefabs.[4]
  • 4 May 2018: Blog post about new industries.[5]
  • 19 June 2018: Blog post about more industries.[6]
  • 23 June 2018: New cities can be seen in the Germany revisiting video.[7]
  • 15 August 2018: Blog post about nature and countryside.[8]
  • 21 August 2018: Steam page for the expansion was added.[9]
  • 7 September 2018: Blog post about landmarks.[10]
  • 21 September 2018: Blog post about Saint Petersburg, the second largest city of Russia.[11]

Industries Edit

The Baltic area contains diverse common industries like farms and sawmills but also more specialized ones like a yacht building company.[5] Also a locomotive building company has been added.[6] The names of the companies can be seen in the trailer browser in 1.33 Experimental Beta (final names may vary).
