DAF Trucks NV is a Dutch truck manufacturing company and a division of Paccar. Its headquarters and main plant are in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. Cabs and axle assemblies are produced at its Westerlo plant in Belgium. Some of the truck models sold with the DAF brand are designed and built by Leyland Trucks at their Farington plant in Preston, England.

It was previously named DAV in original versions of Euro Truck Simulator 2, because SCS Software didn't have the license for DAF trucks.

DAF is owned by the engine manufacturer Paccar, which also owns Kenworth and Peterbilt, both in American Truck Simulator.

Customization

DAF sells four models of trucks that can be fully customized, the XF105, the XF Euro 6, the NGD, and the XD. The primary differences being the availability of particular cabins, engines, and stock colors for each. Also, an exclusive interior is available for the XF series in addition to the standard.

On August 18, 2017, the XF Tuning Pack DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2 has been released. It adds many new customizations for the XF105 and the XF Euro 6.

Available Preconfigured Models

As of update 1.49, the XF105 can only be bought as a used truck in the used truck dealership. The table here shows the 11 different preconfigured customizable models available at DAF truck dealers in ETS2.

Trivia

• DAF is the only truck that has three wipers (only in the XF105 and the XF Euro 6) instead of two (only in the Next Generation Trucks (the NGDs)).
• In real-life, DAF is one of the three Dutch truck manufacturers. The other two being GINAF and Terberg.
• It is the fifth-oldest manufacturing company.
