The Dálnice / Diaľnica D2 is a continuous highway running north-south from Brno, Czech, to the border-crossing point between Slovakia and Hungary, where the M15 motorway of the latter country takes over. The D2 runs near the western border of Slovakia for much of its length.
The highway is featured in Euro Truck Simulator 2, with the short section near the Slovak-Hungarian border becoming accessible upon the release of the Going East expansion.
At the road-work site near the exit of the northbound tunnel out of Bratislava, a speed limit of 50 km/h (31 mph) is applied. Elsewhere, the speed limit is either 90 km/h (56 mph) in Slovakia, or 80 km/h (50 mph) in Czech.
While Czech and Slovakia use different signs for their respective sections of D2 in real-life, SCS applies the Czech-styled road number sign throughout the length of the road in ETS 2.
The D2 is the only in-game Czech highway not serving Praha, the country's capital.
