In update 1.5, which changed the map scale from 1:35 to 1:20, the section of SR 44 in Redding from an at-grade three-way junction with Market Street to a diamond interchange with Victor Avenue was added and signed as SR 299. The section of SR 44 east of Redding was redesignated as SR 299, while the section of SR 299 on Market Street and Cypress Avenue west of the diamond interchange with Interstate 5 was redesignated as SR 44.
In update 1.35, SR 299 east of the at-grade three-way junction with Market Street was redesignated as SR 44, as the junction became an at-grade four-way junction and SR 299 was moved to a new section of Market Street and Lake Boulevard. The previous section of SR 44 was undesignated.
