History[]
- Upon release of American Truck Simulator, California State Route 4 extended east-west directly from the bottom terminus of the north section of Interstate 580 to Stockton. SR 4 was a virtually straight road then. Interstate 80 was, like I-580, cut into two sections, but neither of those parts were anywhere near SR 4, so they never intersected.
- In update 1.5, as part of the 1:35 to 1:20 map rescale, State Route 4 was reworked. It intersected with a now-complete Interstate 80 briefly after the road began at Interstate 580 in Richmond. A rest area was added on SR 4 just east of I-80.
- In update 1.44, as part of the second phase of the California rework, the section of SR 4 from Richmond to Stockton was removed.
