California State Route 299 (SR 299) is an east–west state highway in northern California in American Truck Simulator. It runs from US 101 in Arcata just north of Eureka to US 395 in Alturas. Ironically, despite the highway having many curves in rural areas the speed limit is still 55 mph possibly due to it being wider in some sections.

History[]
- In the initial version of American Truck Simulator, SR 299 began at a diamond interchange with US 101 in Arcata and ended at a diamond interchange with Interstate 5 in Redding.
- In update 1.5, as part of the 1:35 to 1:20 map rescale, the section of SR 44 in Redding from an at-grade three-way junction with Market Street to a diamond interchange with Victor Avenue was added and signed as SR 299. The section of SR 44 east of Redding, which had hitherto been designated as US 395, was redesignated as SR 299, while the section of SR 299 on Market Street and Cypress Avenue west of the diamond interchange with Interstate 5 was redesignated as SR 44.
- In update 1.31, the diamond interchange with US 101 was changed to a trumpet interchange, and the cloverleaf interchange with Interstate 5 was rebuilt.
- In update 1.35, the section of SR 299 from Interstate 5 in Redding to SR 139 near Canby was added, including the Deepgrove harvest site. SR 299 east of the at-grade three-way junction with Market Street was redesignated as SR 44, as the junction became an at-grade four-way junction and SR 299 was moved to a new section of Market Street and Lake Boulevard, of which on the former a garage was added and on the latter a diamond interchange with Interstate 5.
- In update 1.41, as part of the first phase of the California rework, the section of SR 299 from US 101 in Arcata to SR 44 in Redding was completely reworked. The scenery towns of Douglas City, Weaverville, and Willow Creek were added. A rest area between Weaverville and Douglas City was added as the previous rest areas were removed. Parts of the road were widened to three or four lanes, and the at-grade three-way junction with North Road in Arcata was changed to an at-grade four-way junction as Blue Lake was removed and the Darchelle Uzau vineyard there was moved to a new extension of North Road. The GP gas station at the junction was replaced with a Gallon Oil gas station with an unloading point on North Road.
- In update 1.44, as part of the second phase of the California rework, the section of SR 299 within Redding was completely reworked. All roads and junctions were rebuilt, and the SR 273 concurrency was added.
- In update 1.46, a viewpoint was added at the vista point east of Arcata.
