The Bundesautobahn 40 (A40) is one of the most used Autobahns in western Germany. It crosses the Dutch border as a continuation of the Dutch A67 and bridges over the Rhine River, passing through Duisburg and Dortmund before ending and becoming the Bundesstraße 1 (B1) outside Dortmund.
This highway has been added with the update 1.40 and replaced a minor road between Duisburg and Dortmund.
The Rhine-Ruhr Germany was fully reworked in update 1.50.
