The Autovía A2 is a highway in Spain running between Madrid and Zaragoza. It is featured in the Iberia map expansion for Euro Truck Simulator 2.

Course[]

A2 starts as an interchange from M40, the main ring road from Madrid. After serving the districts near the Madrid-Barajas Airport, the highway soon crosses the smaller city of Guadalajara and enters a low valley. For the next hundred kilometers, A2 traverses the Iberian System highlands and mountain ranges, directly cutting through several hills.

At about 100 km from Zaragoza, the motorway bypasses the town of Calatayud and gives access to two sections of N234. After some distance A2 leaves the hilly terrain and enters the Ebro Valley, meeting A23 and AP68 through their respective interchanges, overcoming the Ebro River and bypassing Zaragoza by the north. At some km east from Zaragoza, a toll gate marks the end of A2 and the start of AP2.

Trivia[]

  • In real life, A2 has another stretch that starts west of Lleida and continues to Barcelona following a more northern route than AP2. Most of this stretch isn't featured in the game, but a closed exit to it can be seen from AP7, next to the inaccessible town of Martorell.
    • There is an additional stretch of A2 in real life that bypasses the city of Girona, but it isn't featured in the game, either.
