Seriously SCS...
The north part of the state is totally empty...with just one route entering Yellowstone...
Happy fifth birthday since 2 Feb 2016! Nine states done, two under construction! And there's actually more to come!
I opened up a forum thread yesterday speculating the east coast... https://forum.scssoft.com/viewtopic.php?f=178&t=294746
It's insane that this video almost makes it appear as a 1:1 scale... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0m0pP4IfJA
I kind of agree. If you're in Prague in Europe you pretty much wouldn't be taking about Dallas in the United States, right? People worldwide can just refer it as "Dallas" without translations into other languages.
They will add it, any city with over 500,000 residents is for sure to be there.
My Fort Worth plan map in 1:20 scale
Points, they're reskinning the older maps as well. Like I said, this thread here --> https://forum.scssoft.com/viewtopic.php?f=178&t=286215&p=1488126#p1488126
Excuse me, but I say 2032 with Boston being the last major city.
I live in Texas, so there might be overexcitement here. But I think so, since worked started February 2020 and the developer efficiency has increased over the years.
It's not going to be fun though. Like I said, lots of filler land.
Do you live in China, cool! I hope we don't delve into the Big Tech vs Trump supporters topic, it's now very controversial.
As I have said, I am in Texas.
First to say, Russia west of the Ural Mountains is absolutely massive. Imagine driving from St. Petersburg to Chelyabinsk. It still would feel like forever even in a 1:20 scale. If SCS is afraid of Texas, imagine Russia. I think simply it will be several DLCs in a matter of five years the least.
The world comes to SCS in a 1:20 scale. That gives me a few questions. Will they merge it into one game? ProMods in North America could build Mexico, Central America, and Canada by the time ATS gets finished with the supposed last map DLC, New England. I think by that time they can build the Greater and Lesser Antilles. ProMods can also build Alaska, imagine driving from Vancouver to Anchorage with the winter mod. Hmm. However, will they add Greenland and the tons of frozen acres of Nunavut? Also hmm.
I swear, I heard ProMods thinking of building Asia. I'm not even sure if Asia will officially be announced by Pavel within the next ten years. Continents like Asia, Australia, and Africa would require more filler land as well as topography details, imagine driving past the Himalayas on Route 318. Pretty much if they got at least a thousand developers to build both China and India, I think the countries could release in under three years. And of course, the filler land, mostly in the Tibetan Plateau and Siberia. In Africa, building the Sahara would just mean adding more and more sand until you have the size of a whole ATS or even more. It might be tiring, and adding all the jungle.
And Australia, pretty much the same. South America would be the last continent, but won't be accessible from ATS territory due to the Darien Gap.
I know, this is probably SCS's dream, and it's probably never going to happen.
Sorry for the excessive posting here, but I have a urgent message to ETS2. The game has seen a drop in players, while ATS is on the rise. Here's why. Many of the Euro DLC maps are old and lacking in quality, as many say "copy and pasted models". YouTuber Clumsy has mentioned that what part of what makes Colorado so good is that each implemented tree has a unique look. And when it also comes to ATS, the devs are paying more attention to details not just in courthouses and stadiums, but small statues as well (as seen in leaked Texas pics).
There are many inconsistencies as well, Clumsy also mentioned that a lot of locals of the Baltic region have came reporting that interchanges were incorrect, landmarks, and even things as broad as few road systems. However, if you compare ATS to reality, it's pretty close. All that would be left is facelifting Los Angeles and Phoenix. As you see, they are currently facelifting northern California, and a small revamp to the early states will restore them to current standards. Iberia may be the last high quality map DLC of ETS2. There has been a conspiracy with building Russia, but that may be in a long while. Years. The idea of facelifting all the map DLCs has most likely been rebutted.
There are also many other things, like addition of more trucks to ATS, etc. Europe would have pretty much been given up by the time of Texas if they don't do something.
Shows Main Street off I-345 bypass in Dallas
"The largest map within the group team are working on now and that's it's pretty clear now. I think people have already guessed that it's Texas."
Shows US-287 north in Amarillo, buildings barely textured
"Yeah, it is Texas, and it's about three to four times as large as a regular map or a regular state would be..."
Shows Dallas skyline and I-35E and I-30 interchange
"...so what we are looking at are the early prototypes of some of the landscapes in Texas."
Shows Houston skyline from I don't know which interchange
"What you're looking at is basically some placeholder ... placeholder skylines with gray box buildings; one of the earlier phases where...uh...the assets are far from finished so we can just get these great placeholder buildings as you can see on the right..."
Shows Galveston center at Broadway and 25th Street
"...we got all these monuments, little buildings and all these landmark spots that are being recreated already as Texas is full of that."

EXCITED? I AM.
Over the months, they will tease more and more of the state. I suggest September 2021.
Holy cow look at the picture of Dallas. Make sure to put all the leaked photos of Texas here! I heard they leaked the state capitol in Austin.
"Flight f50 is going to pass out."
I practically did. Anyone who lives in Texas. To be honest, I still feel uncomfortable about the big cities. There isn't going to be enough space for all of them.
Actually, Pavel mentioned that Texas will be one single DLC, but if you compare Oklahoma to that of Montana, it's pretty big. So I think Oklahoma is going to be a single DLC. A single part of the Oklahoma panhandle may be included with Texas, since using US-287 or whatever, you can't drive from Colorado to Texas without going through Boise City, Oklahoma.
To be honest, I live in the Dallas area and I'm also pretty anxious. Are they willing to shove all those cities in a 1:20 scale? As I've said in another post, I-35 will definitely throw them off. DFW will either be small or similar to Los Angeles, while the drive from Austin to San Antonio may be nothing, depending if they can shove Marcos and Braunfels in between. But I honestly think the scary part is them trying to shove in as many towns as they could.
It's very interesting what you said - Texas was also given a jump start due to its population. More people have maybe heard of Texas than other state, worldwide, so judging by that claim, SCS even leaking a clue will fire people up. Imagine the "Texas DLC" video getting more views than the others. The Texas discussion thread on the forum has lots of people continuously verbosely speculating, which is relatively an easy sign of anxiety.
It would make sense for New England to come as one DLC due to its small size. I'm not even sure if Rhode Island will be a thing. Texas is not even half the nightmare compared to building the Northeast megalopolis. I probably say Texas is in about a year, or late 2021. They will start Montana after they release Wyoming this spring. I guess we agree on that they will start Montana.
Strangely, the Oklahoma discussion thread was open on the forum, does that mean they plan on building Oklahoma as well?
